Meditation can't be done, it has to happen to you.

But there are many concentration techniques you can do,
to try to get yourself into a meditative mood.

BHARADWAJ:


First sit down with your spine straight, and in a relaxed and comfortable position. Then close your eyes, and relax.
Take a few deep breath deep down in your belly. And let it out with a deep sigh. Then breath in a normal relaxed way. Maybe keep your awareness on your breathing for a little while, without changing it.

Then look at your many thoughts, try to let them be, watch them like clouds in the sky. Let them come and go.
They will all pass in time. Be like the untouched sky:
you see no marks in the sky after the clouds have passed.

Above the sky the sun is always shining, even when the sky is covered with clouds. The sun is always shining.

Think of the ever shining sun. In the same way, the ever present awareness is always here. That awareness is like a vaste empty space. It is always there inside us. And outside.

Try to be like that vaste empty space.

Meditation is being in the now, feeling life as it is, and accepting it all.

Not struggling with what is happening right now. We usually prefer to feel joy and happiness, but unpleasant things do happen once in a while, and we have to accept it.
We have to live it. If we don't accept: it is hell, but when we accept: it is heaven.

AMMA:

Also Amma has developped a wonderful meditation: The
' I AM meditation'. I have done it almost every day for a few month, and it is very good.

You can only learn it through a teacher educated by Amma's lineage. Contact the danish Amma group or check their website for next workshop. It is quite cheap.

And it will improve your daily life on all levels.
