A TREASURE OF NOBLE THOUGTHS

S.N. BHARADWAJ JI

A humble man living in absolute simplicity.
Always talking about: The highest in man. The Absolute.
The most Noble Thoughts.
Bharadwaj reminds us to look inwards,
to God in our Heart.

Shiv Nandan Bharadwaj. Sanskrit: 'Son of God'.
Was born in Hoshiarpur, Punjab, India. 30 of April 1913.

Bharadwaj still lives in Hoshiarpur.
Hoshiarpur in sanskrit means: the city of knowledge or
in Bharadwaj words: the city of saints.

Now Bharadwaj is 95 years young, and he is becoming
more and more radiant.

He had some accidents last year.
First he had a minor stroke and went to hospital,
after returning home he fell and broke his hip,
and had to be hospitalized again for some month.
At his age people normaly die of this, but not a man
like Bharadwaj who are so strong in his
faith and love towards God.

Almost all the time he has been totally happy
and in a blissfull state.
There is no fear of death in him.

As he says:

'KRIT KRITTYA
'
Done what was to be done.

*

He is now at home fully recovered

"May the Lord bless you all, and me to...hahahaha...."

Rames Giri and Bharadwaj 29.09.05

Many saints and sadhus live in Hoshiarpur.
Bharadwaj has been visiting and talking with many of these saints
all his life, and still does, but now they come to him.

The divine teaching
has touched him to the core of his soul.

Bh.: 'Everyday practise the presence of God,
by sitting in silence for at least 10 minutes,
it will improve your life totally'.

Swami Tejananda

Bharadwaj:
"When I was a young boy of 15 years,
I used to visit swami Tejananda.
He lived in a small ashram very close to my home.
After school I came home,
and my mother gave me a cup of milk,
and told me to do my homework.
When I had finished, she said to me:
"now go to swami ji".
I was a very lucky boy".

"If you meditate on Swami Tejananda's picture
you will experience nirvana".

First meeting with Bharadwaj in 2000.

"Be silent so God can enter your heart".

For many years Bharadwaj went to the saint
Baba Faqir Chand of Hoshiarpur.

Faqir Baba

Bh.: 'Faqir Baba had this simple saying:

"Believe in One -
believe that, 'that One' is perfect
and believe,
'that One' is inside You".

So simple it is...'

Jesper & Nada with Bharadwaj, in Hoshiarpur 2005

Bharadwaj met the danish natural born mystic
Emanuel Sorensen: 'Sunyata' around 1962.
They were close friends until Sunya bhai left the body.

*

Bharadwaj retired as a professor in english litteratur
from Government College, Hoshiarpur in 1971.

'For the last 34 years I have been enjoying my otium,
reading good books, meeting good people, hahaha'

"The body gets old, but the spirit never changes"

"Silence in the beginning - silence in the end"

"One big vaste emptiness of bliss, is what we are"

"So gratefull we are to Him (The Lord)".

You see it's all a big play-'Swar Lila' as Sunya used to say

"We are wery lucky to be born as human beings".

"Wake up and ROAR - HAHAHAHAHA....."

Bharadwaj:
"There are 3 great lucks in our life:
1) We are born as human beings.
2) We have the hunger for truth and freedom.
3) We are able to find a realised soul,
and spend as much time as possible in his or her company"

Even at the age of 90, Bharadwaj still sat down
spontaniously on the ground,
in respect to a 10 years younger saint:
"Swami Sri Shastri"
who often comes to Hoshiarpur to give nice satsang.

*
"Cease of mind is peace of mind"

"Give to Ceasar what belongs to Ceasar".

Bharadwaj likes to quote Shakespeare:
i.e.
"Ignorance is a curse,
knowledge is the wings by which we fly to heaven"

He also quote vividly from the great divine poets such as:
Emmerson, Wordsworth, Shelley,and so on.

"Be alert and vigilant always"

"Be good - do good" - 23 years and new born student

"I'm very fortune. Every time I close my eyes,
rippels of bliss rise up trough my body.
I don't have to do anything. It's all Gods Grace".
